Casa Angela y Luis CAMAGUEY

We are in a residential area 200 m. from the historic center (less than 10 minutes walking). Our historic center is very wide (more than 54 hectares) and where there are several churches and squares among them, the Church and the Plaza del Carmen stand out, which are a set of colonial architecture. The square was created in the first decades of the 19th century, in order to open a space that would make the facade of the Church of Nuestra Señora del Carmen stand out. The church, currently restored, is the only one of two towers in the city. In its beautiful, symmetrical façade, baroque elements are combined with the simplicity of neoclassical compositions. The sculptural ensemble of Las Chismosas in normal size, the work of the visual artist from Camaguey Martha Jiménez, has given the square international fame, and for all these charms today it is one of the most attractive squares among tourists who visit our city .

Within this group we also have different recreation centers such as the Principal Theater, Oxio Club, La Casa de la Trova; Restaurants such as 1800, the Mesón del Príncipe, La Isabela, Museums, such as the Birthplace of Ignacio Agramonte, The Birthplace of Nicolás Guillén and the Ignacio Agramonte Provincial Museum, among others.

Camagüey is also known as the city of tinajones, due to the proliferation of containers that began to be manufactured since the beginning of the 17th century to store water and keep it fresh. From the jar came the waters that its inhabitants and visitors drank. The tradition said that the stranger who took it would always return to the territory.

Those who visit the city of Camagüey do not cease to succumb to the charm of its layout in the shape of a skein, spider or broken plate. Even so, no one misses the opportunity to walk through its urban center, declared by UNESCO as a Cultural Heritage of Humanity on July 7, 2008.

Our house that is, La Casa de Angela y Luis consists of three (3) rooms available for rent. It is a modern house built in 1952 and located in a residential area a few meters from the city center and the historic center. (less than 10 minutes, walking).

Here accommodation and gastronomic services are offered, cocktails are offered (the refreshing Cuba Libre and the traditional Mojito), breakfasts, snacks and dinners to order for the most demanding tastes, with Creole and typical meals of our region, and delicious Cuban fruits .

The rooms have capacity for 3 people each and are properly air-conditioned as well as having a fan and glass shutter windows that open and close to suit the client. It has a stereo, color TV, refrigerated minibar where you can find drinks and soft drinks, closet to hang and store clothes and luggage; also private bathroom inside the room with hot and cold water (central heater) 24 hours a day.

Laundry and dry cleaning services are offered. There is a garage to store the car and it has a telephone service for calls of any kind. We also have internet and WIFI in the same house. We also provide our clients with the location of any other type of service they want and the ease of waiting for them at the entrance of the city, with a sign with your name, if they come in a rented tourist car, or at the terminal of Via Azul or the airport, only by agreeing on the place and approximate time of arrival; We do this to make it easier for our clients to arrive at our home.

The owners of the house are older people, with many wishes that our clients feel good and we love to help them in everything they need. Our son, his wife and his two daughters (our granddaughters) also live with us, the eldest loves English, and communicates easily with our customers.

Luis, host and owner of the house, likes to prepare refreshing Cuban cocktails and specializes in the delicious Mojito and Cuba Libre, as well as preparing any other cocktail that the client wishes.

We offer breakfast and dinner at the request of our clients with reasonable prices.
